HIGHLIGHTS
At SGGS, shaping futures is at the heart of everything we do. This year, we’ve worked hard
to create even more opportunities to inspire, guide and support our students as they
explore their ambitions and take steps towards life beyond school. From exciting new
initiatives to enriching experiences, we’re proud of the ways our careers programme has
grown to help every student build confidence, develop essential skills and make informed
choices about their next chapter.
Here are some of the highlights from this year:
Unifrog now available to all Year Groups
Unifrog, our careers online platform, was rolled out to all year
groups this year, expanding access beyond the usual Year 9
and above to ensure every student can explore pathways,
record achievements, and develop key skills early on.
Mock interviews for all Oxbridge
and Clinical applicants
We provided mock interviews for all Oxbridge and Clinical
applicants (including Veterinary, Dentistry, and Medicine), helping
them to prepare for the competitive selection process with
confidence.
Launch of New Law Society
A new Law Society was launched for our Sixth Form students,
offering a space to explore careers in law, discuss topical legal
issues, and connect with professionals in the field.
University & Apprenticeship speakers
support with Post 18 destinations
To support informed decision-making about Post-18 destinations,
University and Apprenticeship speakers were integrated into PSHE
lessons, offering students first-hand insights into their next steps.
