At SGGS, leadership is a mindset: a commitment to serve and
make a difference. As we reflect on 2024–2025, we celebrate
how our students have stepped up to lead, both formally and
informally, in classrooms, clubs, teams, and friendships.
LEADERSHIP AT SGGS
At SGGS, leadership is about responsibility, relationships, and representation. It’s seen in
those who organise, support, inspire, and quietly help others: whether standing at the front of
assembly or encouraging a friend behind the scenes.
From Head and Deputy Head Girls to House Captains, Prefects, Subject Ambassadors,
Sports Leaders, Librarians, and Committee Members, every role contributes to the heartbeat
of our school, building connection across year groups and showing that leadership grows
with experience.
But leadership here goes beyond titles. It’s in the student who volunteers to run a club,
supports a peer through a tough day, collaborates on stage or on the sports field, and takes
initiative in student-led projects. As we shared in our Leadership Assembly, quiet leadership,
the kind that doesn’t seek recognition but gets things done, is just as powerful.
At SGGS, we believe every student can lead. Through formal roles or everyday actions, we
encourage them to explore what leadership means, because shaping futures starts with
making a difference today.
