From SGGS to the RSC: Alumna Sofia
Gallucci Inspires the Next Generation
At SGGS, we love welcoming back our alumnae to share their journeys since leaving
school. Their stories provide a powerful reminder of where an SGGS education can lead
and offer current students invaluable insight into a wide range of career paths.
One of this year’s highlights was welcoming back former Deputy Head Girl, Sofia
Gallucci, who is now working as Assistant Director on the Royal Shakespeare Company’s
production of Much Ado About Nothing.
Sofia generously gave her time to talk to students about her incredible journey - from
studying Theatre at A-Level right here at SGGS, to training at drama school, and
ultimately securing a role with one of the most prestigious theatre companies in the
world. She spoke with honesty and passion about the highs and challenges of working in
the performing arts industry, inspiring our students to follow their own creative ambitions
with confidence and determination.
Her visit was not only inspiring but also a reminder of the power of resilience, hard work,
and saying “yes” to opportunities.
We are so proud of Sofia and everything she has
achieved so far. We were grateful to Sofia for coming
back to inspire the next generation of SGGS girls’,
we can’t wait to see where her journey takes her
next!
