Celebrating
Diversity at SGGS
In April, SGGS came together as a whole school
community to celebrate Diversity Day – a vibrant and
uplifting event that highlighted the unique qualities and
cultures within our school.
The day was filled with colour, culture, and creativity as
students proudly wore traditional and cultural outfits to
celebrate their identity, heritage, and individuality. It
was a wonderful opportunity for students to share and
learn from one another, fostering a sense of belonging
and mutual respect.
A particular highlight was the lunchtime Fashion Show,
where students took to the stage to showcase
beautiful clothing from around the world. The
atmosphere was filled with admiration and joy as
participants honoured each other’s cultures with
warmth and pride. It was a true celebration of unity
and a reflection of the school’s ethos: at SGGS,
diversity is our strength.
As part of the wider Celebration of Diversity Week,
students also enjoyed the opportunity to experience
traditional henna designs during lunchtime. This
activity was not only popular but also a meaningful
way to appreciate the diverse traditions and talents
within our community. A heartfelt thank you goes to the
talented students who ran the stall and created such
intricate and beautiful designs.
The celebrations throughout the week demonstrated
SGGS’s commitment to inclusivity and its mission to
nurture a school environment where every individual
feels valued and celebrated.
