What made Broadway Baby so extraordinary was how it brought together the
entire school community. From the youngest chorus members to the leading
performers, backstage crew, set designers, and costume makers, every student
had a chance to contribute their skills and creativity.
A special mention must also go to the talented student technical team, who
worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the production run smoothly. From
managing sound and lighting cues to operating set changes and props with
precision, their professionalism and focus were key to creating a seamless
experience for the audience.
“I loved working on Broadway Baby, and I especially loved being able to bring Dr Jones’ script to life! Sammy was a
character I could definitely find areas to relate to, particularly because I am involved with areas of the performing arts
world so I’m familiar with many of the troubles and risks it can bring. One of my favourite parts was having some of my
baby videos and photos in part of the production, which definitely made my parents and the people close to me to get a
bit teary! Overall, I am very grateful for the experience the production gave me, especially because it was such a love letter
to Musical Theatre and to the performing arts!”
