This spring, our school community was treated to a theatrical experience
like no other with our original whole-school production, Broadway Baby. The
show told its own hear t warming story while incorporating iconic songs and
scenes from some of the world’s best-loved musicals, and our students
shone brilliantly from star t to finish.
From the very first rehearsals back in the early term, students of all ages
displayed incredible professionalism and commitment. They embraced the
challenge of learning complex harmonies, perfecting choreography, and
developing their characters with enthusiasm and maturity. It was clear from
the outset that Broadway Baby would be something special.
At its hear t, Broadway Baby followed a young performer on her journey to the
bright lights of Broadway, weaving together show-stopping numbers from
musicals such as Wicked, Hamilton, Les Misérables, Matilda, and many more.
Each scene reflected themes of ambition, resilience, and the joy of working
together, themes our students embodied every step of the way.
