Our Chamber Choir have had an incredibly busy and successful year,
filled with memora ble perfor mances and ac hievements. One of the main
highlights was their exciting oppor tunity to perfor m for the cameras as
ITV visited Stra tford Gir ls’ Grammar Sc hool. Filming took place in our
beautiful Sha kespeare Room in the Sixth For m Manor, where the c hoir’s
stunning perfor mance was ca ptured for the Christmas Specia l edition of
ITV News Centra l.
The broadcast, whic h aired on Friday 20th December, showcased our
students’ incredible voices as the fina l highlight of the pro g ramme, a
perfect way to c lose the show with festive c heer and celebra te the
season.
We are immensely proud of the Chamber Choir for sharing their ta lent
and representing SGGS so brilliantly to the na tion. Their dedica tion,
teamwor k, and passion brought a tr uly ma gica l moment to homes across
the region, spreading joy and showcasing the power of music within our
sc hool community.
