Extended
Learning Day:
Exploring, Discovering
and Growing Together
In October, students across all Year Groups took
part in our much-anticipated Extended Learning
Day (ELD), a day designed to take learning
beyond the classroom and give students fresh
opportunities to explore, discover, and strengthen
bonds with their peers.
Each Year Group enjoyed a unique experience:
Year 7 visited Compton Verney, exploring art,
history and the beautiful grounds to inspire
their creativity.
Year 8 ventured into the outdoors at Carding
Mill Valley, developing their geographical skills
and resilience while enjoying the stunning
Shropshire landscape.
Year 9 stepped back in time at the Black
Country Living Museum, immersing
themselves in history and gaining insights into
life during the Industrial Revolution.
Year 10 took on team-building challenges with
H5 Adventure in the Manor gardens, building
communication and problem-solving skills.
Year 11 faced their own Apprentice Challenge,
brainstorming and pitching innovative
fundraising ideas.
The day was a fantastic chance for students to
stretch their learning, experience new
environments, and work together in ways that
inspire confidence and collaboration.
