Stratford Girls' Grammar School Awarded Prestigious
Eco-Schools Green Flag with Distinction!
In October last year, we were delighted to receive the coveted Eco-Schools
Green Flag with Distinction, a recognition of our school’s dedication to
sustainability and environmental education. This prestigious award celebrates
the hard work and commitment of our students, staff, and the wider community
to promote eco-friendly practices and environmental awareness.
Passionate Students Leading the Way
One of the key reasons for this achievement is the dedication of our EcoCommittee, made up of 24 students spanning Year 7 to Year 13. The committee
has taken ownership of our school’s sustainability initiatives, starting with a
comprehensive Environmental Review. This process, completed by the students
themselves, allowed them to assess the school’s current environmental impact and
identify areas for improvement. Their drive, determination, and enthusiasm have
been key to shaping the school’s ongoing environmental projects.
